These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the StateNull software platform and applications (the "Service"). By creating an account, starting a checkout trial, or subscribing, you agree to these Terms.
StateNull is a professional tool for records, evidence and agreements, and it is intended for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, start a trial, subscribe, or otherwise use the Service, and you must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it. The same 18+ requirement is stated in our User Policy and Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account if we learn that the user is under 18.
StateNull is a subscription-based software platform for secure capture, storage and file-integrity verification. Using the StateNull Android app you can capture, organize and encrypt photos, document scans, PDFs, videos and voice notes; a web app is used to manage your account and secure communications, and a desktop verifier lets anyone independently check a sealed file offline. Photos, document scans and PDFs are sealed at capture with a cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256), a trusted timestamp, an optional signed location and digital signatures, producing an independently verifiable, tamper-evident record. Videos and voice notes are recorded to the encrypted vault with a tamper-evident audit record. Depending on plan, the Service also includes end-to-end-encrypted 1:1 calling and, for organizations, management of the organization's own enrolled devices (MDM/UEM) and certificates (PKI). StateNull is software only: we do not sell physical products, legal services, certification services, cryptocurrency products or investment products, and we do not provide legal or forensic advice.
Plans and prices are shown on our pricing page. Subscriptions are recurring and are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout, in your chosen currency (USD, EUR or GBP). Applicable taxes (VAT / sales tax) are calculated and shown before you pay. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, until you cancel; the renewal price and period are shown before purchase. After any initial term your subscription continues on a rolling basis and you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period — where local law requires (for example, for consumers in Germany) it continues for an indefinite period cancellable on no more than one month's notice, and we will not lock you into a further fixed term on renewal.
A 14-day trial may be offered at checkout for eligible plans. The trial requires a payment method: checkout shows €0.00 (or the equivalent) due today, and the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the plan price at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before day 14; the applicable price and renewal period are shown before purchase. Creating an account without going through checkout does not start a trial.
You may cancel at any time from your account's subscription-management page or by contacting media.supply@statenull.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; access to paid features continues until the end of the current paid billing period. Deleting the application does not cancel your subscription.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases, as described in that policy. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that apply under the law of your country.
When a subscription ends, access to paid features stops. For at least 30 days afterwards you may still sign in to export or delete your content, unless the account was terminated for a violation of these Terms. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, exported content can only be read with your own keys.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials and recovery material safe. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, R-ESM LLC cannot recover encrypted content if you lose your keys.
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to abuse, attack, or attempt to circumvent the security of the platform. Organization-managed features must only be used on devices your organization is authorized to manage, with the device owner's knowledge on enrollment.
The Responsible Use Notice forms part of these Terms. It states what StateNull is and is not — software tools, not legal, medical, clinical, insurance, safety, compliance, law-enforcement or evidentiary advice, certification, custody or approval — and which duties remain yours. You accept the notice affirmatively in-product (an unchecked box shown with the exact text), and the version and content of the notice you accepted are recorded with your account. If the notice changes materially, you are asked to accept the new version before creating new shared or external work. Nothing in the notice excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, unlawfully, abusively, or in violation of these Terms. Your statutory refund and withdrawal rights, and our Refund Policy, continue to apply.
Our order process and subscription billing are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which is the Merchant of Record for all purchases. Paddle handles payment, invoicing and applicable taxes, and provides support for billing questions. Your purchase is additionally subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties, to the extent permitted by law. R-ESM LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we will provide reasonable notice (for example, by email or in-app). Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
